RECYCLING AWARENESS
An installation in a grocery store meant to interrupt a shopper’s experience and force them to stop and reflect on the space around them in terms of recycling.
Mirrors are installed onto the shelves of the grocery store. They span the height of the aisles. and slide on tracks across the length of the aisles and fit together to form letters. There are two letters per aisle; one per side. All together, the pieces and letters spell the word “Recycle!”.
This installation was part of a collaborative studio project; each person in the studio took a different section and proposed different methods to bring about recycling awareness in the supermarket. The initiative promotes recycling education in the hopes that customers will make smarter purchases in future visits.
